Each year 1st, 2nd and 3rd Class celebrate the month of May by paying a visit to Our Lady in the Grotto and this year was no different. The children learned the hymns “The Bells of the Angelus” and “When Creation was Begun” on the tin whistle and performed them at the Grotto. They sang “Ava Maria” and “The Flowers of the Rarest”. Caoimhe and David crowned Mary with flowers and Mattie, Maeve, Aoife and Conor brought beautiful bouquets also to brighten up the Grotto.

Today we were very fortunate to have a visit from Aodán Behan, founder of the thriving Behan's Bainne Blasta. This visit was to assist us with our ongoing Farm Safety Flag initiative as well as the Junior Entrepreneur Programme that our Senior Room are currently engaging in. Aodán gave a wonderful presentation, he is such an inspiration to all our children with an interest in farming as well as those with entrepreneurial minds! Not only did he give up time in his very busy schedule, he brought lots of delicious samples for us to try! Thank you again to Aodán! No doubt you have inspired many of our pupils today!! ...
