It is with very heavy hearts 💕 we bid farewell to 6th class 🎓 today. There were some tears 😭 We have watched you grow and flourish ✨ over the years and we have no doubt you will thrive next year. All the best in your new endeavors. Onwards and upwards 🎉🥰👨🏻🎓👩🏻🎓
The excitement was up to the sky and back today for our annual Patrick Curtin Tournament 🏆 Last week we had the group stages and unfortunately the orange and jersey teams were knocked out. Today was a fine display of football, with two semi final games firstly, the red team versus the yellow team and then the blue team versus non-bibs team.
All teams fought hard but it was meant to be for the yellow 🟡 and blue 🔵 team to meet in the final. It was a super entertaining final with lots of goals. In the finish the blue team pulled away and took the win. Their captain Mark was proud to lift the trophy. Thank you so much to the club for the field, Eileen, Evelyn and family for coming and making the presentation, to Conor for reffing and to the parents for supporting us on the day. The players were outstanding, very disciplined, encouraging and conscious of younger players. Cadán took the "Sportsmanship Award" for his brilliant attitude. He quietly went about his business, encouraging his team and played brilliant football also.
Ah thank you so much to Lee Strand and to all our great community for dropping in milk tokens for this competition 👏🏼 This money will be put to great use!
Congratulations to our Senior Room Pupils!
We are delighted for our 5th and 6th Class pupils who have received a top prize in the Junior Entrepreneur Programme 2026.
Their innovative business, Murhur Mysteries Fidget Box, was selected as the winner of The Digital Maestros Award. The award recognises classes that excel in the use of technology and digital media across areas such as product development, sales and marketing, communications and production.
Our pupils demonstrated outstanding creativity, teamwork and digital skills throughout their entrepreneurial journey. They made excellent use of technology utilising designing software and 3D printing to bring their business idea to life.
We are incredibly proud of their achievement and congratulate all of the pupils on their hard work, dedication and success. Well done to everyone involved! 🎉👏🏆

We were so fortunate to have such stunning spot prizes for our fundraiser. We would like to highlight some very kind people.
David Mahon generously sponsored 1st prize. His mother Nora was a native of the area. He spent many happy summers with the O Sullivan/O Flaherty family and wished to give back to the community that he has such happy memories of.
2nd prize was graciously sponsored by Maggie O'Flaherty and Eoin O'Flaherty.
3rd prize was very kindly sponsored by Brian Mahon of Aviva.
We are very grateful to have our defibrillator in working order again. Thank you so much to our branch of first responders who donated it. It is so important to check your batteries and pads also to make sure it is ready for use and in date.

A massive thank you to all the sponsors of the dog races and to all the advertisements also in our race book. The generosity was truly heartwarming.
Even the children got involved in racing. There was a race for the Junior and Senior Infants, First Class and then Second Class to Sixth Class ran a relay all the way around the track! Medals all round 🏅 hip hip hurray!!!
Lots of smiles, laughs and catch ups were had. Everyone enjoyed the ambience and fun on the night!
What an amazing night had by all at Kingdom Greyhound Stadium. Thank you so much to the community of Moyvane and beyond for supporting our school and helping us fundraise. All your donations, be it through spot prizes, buying and selling door tickets or raffles tickets, were greatly appreciated by all our pupils and staff.
We are sooooo excited 😊 See you all there!!
