We recently raised our Green Flag. This was presented to our school for the appropriate management of litter and waste. We recycle as much as possible in our school. Aoife, Rián and Ava recycle paper bags which are then taken to the local charity shop. Cara and Rebekah look after the milk delivery in the school. Áine, Cara and Jacinta collect, wash and dry the used milk bottles and we store them for the local Parish Liturgy Group who use them to distribute holy water for Easter!

At Murhur N.S., we are committed to building a fully inclusive school where every child is valued and celebrated for their unique abilities. We are very much looking forward to opening our new Autism Class this September, which will be an important step in helping us achieve this vision.

Today we were very fortunate to have a visit from Aodán Behan, founder of the thriving Behan's Bainne Blasta. This visit was to assist us with our ongoing Farm Safety Flag initiative as well as the Junior Entrepreneur Programme that our Senior Room are currently engaging in. Aodán gave a wonderful presentation, he is such an inspiration to all our children with an interest in farming as well as those with entrepreneurial minds! Not only did he give up time in his very busy schedule, he brought lots of delicious samples for us to try! Thank you again to Aodán! No doubt you have inspired many of our pupils today!!
