ABOUT

Murhur N. S. is in the process of converting to “The New Primary Curriculum Framework” and this will be implemented over the coming years.   It is a modern, child centred programme designed to support every pupil’s academic, personal and social development. It encompases the five curriculum areas – Arts Education, Languages, STEM, Social and Environmental Education and Wellbeing.

Language – English and Irish with foreign language introduced in the upper primary.

S.T.E.M. – Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, with hands on inquiry based learning.

Social and Environmental Education – learning about History, Geography and the wider world. 

Arts Education – Visual Art, music, drama, dance and media arts, nurturing creativity and self expression.

Wellbeing – P.E., S.P.H.E., supporting physical, emotional, and social development.

 This curriculum tailored to our own pupils and how it is implemented at Murhur NS, aids us in supporting :
