At Murhur N.S., we are committed to building a fully inclusive school where every child is valued and celebrated for their unique abilities. We are very much looking forward to opening our new Autism Class this September, which will be an important step in helping us achieve this vision.
We are excited to continue to grow a school community where everyone belongs.
Today we were very fortunate to have a visit from Aodán Behan, founder of the thriving Behan's Bainne Blasta. This visit was to assist us with our ongoing Farm Safety Flag initiative as well as the Junior Entrepreneur Programme that our Senior Room are currently engaging in. Aodán gave a wonderful presentation, he is such an inspiration to all our children with an interest in farming as well as those with entrepreneurial minds! Not only did he give up time in his very busy schedule, he brought lots of delicious samples for us to try! Thank you again to Aodán! No doubt you have inspired many of our pupils today!!
"Me and the Moon" has kindly offered us this fabulous gift voucher. This will be awarded to the best design in our "Racebook Competition" we held at school. What a lovely prize for a budding artist. Stay tuned for the result, it will be a tough decision for the committee!!!

Tarbert NS have kindly included Murhur NS parents to partake in their online safety information evening, tomorrow at 7.30pm, in their School Hall.
The talk will provide practical, up-to-date advice on how to protect, support and guide children in today’s digital age.
Congratulations to our super talented group in the Senior Room who won the Senior County Prize in the Someone like me competition which promotes inclusion and diversity. The group spent January 28th being celebrated for their achievements in City Hall in Dublin. They also received €150 for their class and school in recognition of their efforts. Well done to everyone involved. We are all very proud of you! Lots to be celebrated on our next Yay day!
The rest of the teaching cohort are finally catching up to us in Murhur NS and now there is a national wide competition to recycle cans and bottles. We are asking for our brilliant families, directly linked with us and extended and our whole community to get on board with this and help us re-turn as much as we can!
First and Second Class wrote little prayers and kind words they would have said if they were there that night when Jesus was born.
We are ready to welcome you Baby Jesus, we can't wait to celebrate your birth.
